BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 209 km SSW of Lajes das Flores, Portugal at 1:27 a.m. local time (0127 GMT) on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 37.5599 degrees north latitude and 31.8138 degrees west longitude.
Lajes das Flores is a municipality in the southern part of Flores, an island of the Portuguese Azores archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean. Enditem
