Ukraine completes RS-80 unguided aircraft missile test

KIEV, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's State Joint-Stock Holding Company Artem has completed tests of the first batch of unguided aircraft missiles RS-80, manufactured for the needs of the country's Defense Ministry, Ukrinform news agency reported Friday.

According to Ukrinform, the fire tests were successful, confirming the compliance of the products with technical requirements and high-quality standards. The missiles are ready for early transfer to customers.

The RS-80 is an airborne unguided missile with a cumulative fragmentation warhead designed to destroy armored targets, tanks, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled guns, and other targets. The missile can be used on not only aircraft but also ground-based platforms and assault boats.
