German shares gain 0.67 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 87.18 points, or 0.67 percent, to close at 13,138.41 points.

Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.09 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and housing association Vonovia gained by 1.72 percent and 1.57 percent respectively.

Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero, chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 2.08 percent, 0.99 percent and 0.79 percent respectively.

Daimler was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 159.75 million euros (188.49 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 2.27 percent to close at 0.810 euros per share on Monday. Enditem
