The stunning autumn scenery appears in Minqin County, once a desert area, in northwest China's Gansu Province. Minqin County has long been on the frontier of the battle on desertification in China. It used to be a major source of sandstorms in the country. During recent years, the local government has adhered to ecological protection and green development policy. With the great effort, the forest coverage rate of the county has raised from 3 percent in the 1950s to 17.91 percent at present.
