RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Danilo Barcelos scored a late equalizer as Fluminense salvaged a 2-2 home draw with Ceara in Brazil's Serie A championship on Saturday.
The 22-year-old struck in the 91st minute after Vinicius Goes and a Hudson own goal had overturned Luiz Henrique's opener for the hosts.
The result at the Maracana stadium represented a missed chance for Fluminense to move into the top four. Odair Hellmann's side have now gone six matches without defeat and are sixth in the 20-team league standings, five points behind leaders Atletico Mineiro, who have two games in hand.
Elsewhere, Kaio Jorge and Yeferson Soteldo netted first-half goals to fire Santos to a 2-1 win at Coritiba. Gio Oliveira pulled a late goal back for the hosts.
Meanwhile, despite finishing the match with only nine players, Atletico Goiania secured a 1-1 home draw with Atletico Paranaense.
Ze Roberto put the hosts ahead on the stroke of half-time before Leo Cittadini equalized on the hour mark.
The hosts lost Willian Maranhao because of a straight red card for a reckless tackle in the 19th minute, and were handicapped further in the 94th minute when Everton Felipe was also dismissed without a prior caution. Enditem
