BRATISLAVA, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Dunajska Streda defeated Michalovce 4-2 in the tenth round of the Slovak top flight football league Fortuna Liga over the weekend.
Bottom-ranked Michalovce turned out to be a tough nut to crack for league-leaders Dunajska Streda.
The visitors took the lead twice and Michalovce managed to tie the game both times.
The decisive moment came seven minutes before the end of regulation when Dunajska Streda's Hungarian captain Zsolt Kalmar converted a penalty.
His teammate Andrej Fabry provided the insurance strike three minutes into extra time, utilizing his substitution to the fullest.
Elsewhere, Zilina moved up to the third place in the standings after a 2-1 victory against Trnava.
Slovan Bratislava took the lead just 34 seconds into the game against Sered, Brazilian striker Rafael Ratao then added another two to seal the match 3-0.
Other action saw Ruzomberok beat Senica 2-1, Pohronie draw with Trencin 1-1 and Nitra defeat Zlate Moravce 3-1. Enditem
