ZHUJI, China, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Jilin Northeast Tigers' two guards Jiang Yuxing and Jiang Weize combined for 50 points, helping their team win over the Jiangsu Dragons 110-92 in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Tuesday.

Rising star Jiang Yuxing scored 28 points, six rebounds and nine assists to become the best player of the match.

Jilin center Dai Huaibo, who played well in the last game, suffered an ankle injury in a defensive play midway through the third quarter, and came back to the court after only a few minutes, hitting three points at the end of the third quarter.

As for Jiangsu, Zheng Qilong scored a team-high 18 points, and the coach's son Li Lutong entered the 12-man squad for the first time and contributed four points and two rebounds.

"I was satisfied with our attacking performance in the fourth quarter, but we weren't good enough defensively on Jiangsu's individual technical characteristics, as Zheng scored easily with a rapid counterattack," said Jilin's coach Wang Han.

Jiangsu will take on the Guangdong Southern Tigers here on Thursday, while Jilin is scheduled to play against the Xinjiang Flying Tigers on Friday. Enditem
