New Zealand reports 2 new imported cases of COVID-19

WELLINGTON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand reported two new imported cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, both imported cases in managed isolation facilities.

The first case arrived on Monday from the Netherlands via Dubai and the second case arrived on Wednesday from Doha. They were both tested on arrival after developing symptoms on their journey, according to the Ministry of Health.

Both cases are now in the Auckland quarantine facility, said a ministry statement.

The country's total number of active cases is now 58. New Zealand's total number of confirmed cases is now 1,558, which is the number reported to the World Health Organization, it said. Enditem
