ACCRA, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The club licensing board of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Tuesday cleared eight clubs in the top division to host their matches at preferred venues ahead of the commencement of the new league season.

Among the clubs given the license include Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and traditional rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak, the two most successful clubs in the country.

The GFA board was however not satisfied with the match venues of the remaining 10 clubs in the top flight and is set to carry out a second inspection before the league starts.

The country's premier league, after eight months of inactivity due to COVID-19, is scheduled to commence the new season on Nov. 13. Enditem
