German shares up 0.32 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 37.56 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 11,598.07 points.

Property company Deutsche Wohnen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.58 percent. European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom rose by 3.01 percent and 2.50 percent respectively.

Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 3.91 percent. Personal-care company Beiersdorf and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical went down by 3.14 percent and 2.76 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 749.78 million euros (877.54 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 7.38 percent to close at 0.815 euros per share on Thursday. Enditem
