ZHUJI, China, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Zhou Qi scored 31 points and Lutpulla added career-high 25 as Xinjiang Flying Tigers beat Jiangsu Dragons 113-100 in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Friday.

Despite having lost the past five games to Xinjiang, Jiangsu started the game with a strong defensive performance, forcing Xinjiang to struggle early, making eight turnovers in the first quarter.

Xinjiang trailed by as many as eight and looked out of rhythm before Zhou Qi got hot midway through the second, scoring eight straight points to help Xinjiang outscore 50-42.

Powered by Lutpulla's 14 points in the third, Xinjiang then showed why they're strong championship contenders by stifling Jiangsu in the third, going up by 90-63.

Jiangsu got much going offensively and surged to a 15-0 run in the final period, but Yu Dehao came off the bench and led Xinjiang to close out another win.

Six Jiangsu players were in double-digit, while Liu Yuxuan got 17 points. Enditem
