BANGKOK, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) said on Friday that Typhoon Molave had bashed four Thai provinces including Chumphon, Phuket, Satun and Krabi, with flash floods and landslides.

The typhoon also led to storms, hitting seven provinces of Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Kanchanaburi, Phangnga, Chumphon and Ubon Ratchathani.

DDPM reported that the typhoon had damaged 77 houses in 35 villages, while injuring three residents.

Residential houses along the Moon River in Thailand's northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima inundated since early Friday.

Water discharged from the Lam Takhong dam in Nakhon Ratchasima overflowed from the Moon River, sending water flooding into the province's Phimai district, said the DDPM.

The DDPM said flash floods, runoffs, landslides and storms had affected a total of 34 provinces across the country from Oct. 7 to Oct. 30.

The Royal Irrigation Department (RID) has also distributed 138 water pumps to flood-prone locations.

Typhoon Molave, according to the Thai Meteorological Department, had weakened by late Friday afternoon. Enditem
