MADRID, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Primoz Roglic (Jumbo Visma) produced a display of power to win the 10th stage and recover the leadership of the Vuelta de Espana on Friday.
Roglic launched an unstoppable attack with just over 200 meters remaining of the 185km stage between Castro Urdinales and Suances on the north coast of Spain.
Everything looked set for a specialist sprinter to take the stage, before Roglic launched his formidable attack with such power that he finished three seconds ahead of the main group, which included overnight leader Richard Carapaz (Ineos Grenadiers).
Those three seconds and the 10 second bonus for winning the stage gave Roglic the overall leader's red jersey thanks to his stage wins.
Saturday's stage contains four first category climbs, including the Lagos de Somiedo in the region of Asturias, and its 177 kilometers will likely produce big time differences ahead of Sunday's stage. Enditem
