China's self-developed computer rolls off production line in Guangdong

China's self-developed computer, Tianyue, has rolled off the production line in Guangdong, China. It is the province's first Tianyue computer. Tianyue is China's first computer with all essential hardware and software made at home, including the CPU and the operating system. The Guangdong production line is expected to produce 200,000 computers a year. The computer is independently researched and developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). Nearly 10,000 Tianyue computers have been used in cold, humid and high altitude regions including Heilongjiang, Hainan, Tibet.
