China's new development blueprint shows the government is pragmatic and it meets the expectation of the Chinese people, said Frederic Baldan, CEO of Belgian consulting company CEBiz in a recent interview with Xinhua. On Oct. 29, the fifth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China adopted the Party leadership's proposals for formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035. A new "dual circulation" development pattern, where domestic and foreign markets can boost each other with the domestic market as the mainstay, has been introduced as one of the priorities for the next five years. Baldan noted that the "dual circulation" strategy is not only conducive to China's sustainable development but also brings the world a more attractive and vast market.
