YANGON, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 1,029 more COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the tally in the country to 61,377, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
A total of 24 more COVID-19 deaths were reported on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 1,420 in total, the release said.
According to the ministry's figures, 45,756 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
A total of 794,933 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, the ministry's figures said.
