German shares gain 0.51 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 67.14 points, or 0.51 percent, to close at 13,163.11 points.

Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 5.48 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and reinsurance company Munich Re gained 5.27 percent and 4.87 percent respectively.

Sportswear and equipment maker Adidas, Deutsche Post and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group were the top three losers among the blue chips, falling by 5.79 percent, 4.84 percent and 4.41 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 639.27 million euros (754.85 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 0.81 percent to close at 0.908 euros per share on Tuesday. Enditem
