YANGON, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 1,145 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the number of infections to 65,598 as of Thursday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.
The death toll has risen to 1,508 after 28 new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the release said.
So far, 49,563 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals.
COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 this year and 853,947 samples have been tested for the disease. Enditem
