MOSCOW, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Russian Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev has tested positive for the coronavirus, the ministry said Sunday.
Savelyev is in self-isolation as required by the health authorities, while First Deputy Transport Minister Alexander Neradko will temporarily perform his duties, the ministry said in a brief statement.
Several senior officials of Russia have already recovered from the coronavirus, including Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Russia has so far tallied a total of 1,925,825 COVID-19 infections, including 33,186 deaths and 1,439,985 recoveries, ranking the fifth in the world in terms of caseload. Enditem
