JIANGMEN, China, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin swept Shanghai 3-0 here on Saturday to snap Shanghai's six-match winning streak in the Chinese women's volleyball league.
In a rematch of last season's best-of-five Finals where Tianjin won 3-0, Chinese international Li Yingying scored 18 points and star spiker Zhu Ting added 16 as Tianjin won 25-14, 25-18 and 25-11 to improve to a 6-1 record.
Middle blocker Wang Yuanyuan contributed three stuffs to Tianjin's victory while Shanghai was out-blocked 9-2.
Louisa Lippmann of Germany scored 11 points and American Jordan Larson added seven before both of them were benched in the third set of the surprisingly lopsided encounter. Shanghai swallowed its first defeat in seven matches.
Earlier on Saturday, Guangdong came back from one set down to beat Yunnan 21-25, 25-22, 27-25 and 25-12 for its seventh win in eight matches and the top place in the standings.
Li Yao led Guangdong with 28 points, with Kelsey Robinson of the United States and Dobriana Rabadzhieva of Bulgaria adding 22 and 15, respectively.
Liaoning eased past Hebei 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-19) to share a 6-1 record with Tianjin, Jiangsu and Shanghai.
In Saturday's other action, Henan lost to Beijing 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-23), Shandong overpowered Sichuan 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-15) and Zhejiang brushed overwhelmed Fujian 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 28-26).
