SUVA, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Samoa reported on Friday one more COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to two in the island nation.
According to Samoa Observer, Samoa's Director General of Health Leausa Take Naseri said on Friday that a 70-year-old Samoan man has tested positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine after arriving in Samoa on a repatriation flight from Auckland and Melbourne two weeks ago.
He tested negative upon his arrival but the result of the second test was positive.
Recently, Samoa has extended its 14-day quarantine to 21 days after a repatriated sailor tested negative and positive in two different tests. The sailor's samples have been sent to New Zealand for further clarification.
Currently, Samoa has extended its state of emergency until December 23 this year. Enditem
