NINGBO, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a soar in freight indices in Europe and Mediterranean routes.
NCFI, a wind vane of China's busiest port's freight rates for the international container shipping market, stood at 1,721.6 points on Friday, up 11.9 percent compared with last week.
The sub-index for the route to Europe stood at 1,874.6 points, up 36.9 percent from last week. Freight indices in the route to the east coast of the Mediterranean quoted 1,454 points, up 30.3 percent against last week, while that in the route to the west coast quoted 1,832.9 points, up 35.4 percent.
