ADDIS ABABA, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- At least six explosions rocked the Eritrean capital, Asmara, on Saturday evening, the U.S. Embassy in Asmara said on Sunday.
"At about 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 28, there were six explosions in Asmara," the embassy said in a statement.
"The embassy again advises all U.S. citizens in Eritrea to continue to exercise caution, remain in their homes (when not at work), conduct only essential travel, and to remain situationally aware of the ongoing conflict in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. U.S. citizens not in the country should avoid traveling to Eritrea," the statement further said.
The U.S. embassy didn't mention the cause of the six explosions. It also didn't detail any damage that could have been caused by the explosions.
There has so far been no comment from the Eritrean government on the latest reported explosions.
There have also not been any claims of responsibility regarding the "apparent attack".

At least two of the rockets appeared to have hit areas near the airport in the south of the capital Asmara, diplomats said.
A senior official in Tigray regional state had confirmed the Nov. 15 rocket attacks on Asmara, accusing the Red Sea nation of militarily backing the administration of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Since the early hours of Nov. 4, the Ethiopian government has been undertaking military operations against the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF).
The mounting disputes between the federal government and the TPLF were exacerbated in September this year, when the Tigray regional government decided to go ahead with its planned regional elections, which the Ethiopian parliament had previously postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
