BRATISLAVA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The top three teams of the Slovak football premiership continued to show off their dominance by winning their respective fixtures in the 15th round and solidifying their favorable positions in the standings.

Slovan Bratislava Sports Club is currently leading the Fortuna Liga pack but is well aware that Dunajska Streda has the same amount of points but has played one match less due to a coronavirus postponement.

The pursuers from the south of Slovakia will face Senica on Wednesday with the chance of taking back the pole position in the standings.

Bratislava's David Strelec was served with an easy-to-score opportunity after a well-timed pass that went over the defensive line of Senica late in the first half.

Brazilian Rafel Ratao scored after another long pass that landed behind the defensive lines in the second half and the third was produced by Hungarian midfielder David Holman to take away a solid 3-0 victory from Senica.

"We scored a tying goal, the referee confirmed it but then suddenly waved it off after talking to the opponent's players. I don't understand why. That was the decisive moment that led to our defeat as Bratislava capitalized on three of its five scoring chances," complained Senica's coach Anton Soltis after the game.

Dunajska Streda FC sent Spartak Trnava two spots down in the standings to sixth after a 2-0 away victory in the most attractive match-up of the 15th round thanks to two goals scored just four minutes apart in the second half.

The home team regretted failing to capitalize on a penalty shot in the first half that could have taken the match down a different path as the visiting 21-year-old Venezuelan striker received a half-field pass from Andrija Balic that beat the offside trap and had no trouble scoring. Moments later, the Moldavian striker only had to nudge the ball into Trnava's net after the ball landed right at his feet after a corner-kick header.

In the north-central region of the country, Zilina managed to extend its winning streak to four after a 2-1 victory over the struggling Pohronie.

In other matches, Zlate Moravce drew goalless with Zemplin Michalovce, Ruzomberok beat Nitra 3-0, and Trencin nailed down Sered 1-0. Enditem
