BEIJING, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Huang Kunming on Monday called for more quality works to break new ground on theater and acrobatics fronts.
Huang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks while addressing the ninth national congress of the China Theater Association and the eighth national congress of the China Acrobats Association.
The works should reflect the zeitgeist of the era and live up to the people's expectations, Huang stressed.
Noting bright prospects in the coming years as China is working to develop a great socialist culture, Huang called on professionals working on the fronts of theater and acrobatics to assume their responsibilities of recording the time, to eulogize the people and to showcase the unique Chinese aesthetic values in their artistic creation and performance.
