SHENYANG, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Northeast China's Liaoning Province reported one new locally transmitted COVID-19 case on Friday, local health authorities said Saturday.
The case, reported in the port city of Dalian, was a close contact of an asymptomatic carrier diagnosed earlier, according to the provincial health commission.
The individual was identified during quarantine and has been transferred to a local designated hospital, said the commission.
By Friday, Liaoning had reported 290 COVID-19 cases, including 65 imported carriers. One confirmed case and seven asymptomatic carriers are being treated in designated hospitals, according to the commission. Enditem
