SHANGHAI, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The balance of loans in Shanghai stood at 8.39 trillion yuan (about 1.28 trillion U.S. dollars) at the end of November, up 6 percent year on year.
The balance of loans in Chinese yuan reached 7.73 trillion yuan at the end of November, up 5.8 percent year on year, while the growth rate was 0.5 percentage points lower than that for the previous month, according to the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office.
The balance of foreign currency loans hit 100.5 billion U.S. dollars at the end of November, up 16.6 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, the balance of Shanghai's deposits stood at 15.52 trillion yuan at the end of November, up 17.4 percent year on year. Enditem
