JERUSALEM, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. electric carmaker Tesla will sell cars in Israel starting the coming days, the Israeli financial website "Globes" reported on Monday.
Israel's Ministry of Transportation Spokesman Avner Ovadia told Xinhua that Tesla is expected to soon receive an official import permit, which will allow the marketing and sales in the country.
The website reported that this will be the first time that a car manufacturer receives a permit to directly import and market cars, not through a car dealer or a partnership with a dealer.
Marketing in Israel will first focus on the Tesla 3 model, a four-door fastback sedan, which will be offered in a wide variety of versions and travel ranges. Enditem
