PARIS, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Marco Verratti and central defender Abdou Diallo have tested positive for the coronavirus, the club announced on Friday.
The Ligue 1 giant said that both players will serve self-isolation according to the health protocol and thus will miss the league match at Lorient on Sunday.
The capital-based team had been hit hard by the virus since last summer as seven players including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Angel Di Maria were confirmed infected at the beginning of the season, while new coach Mauricio Pochettino also tested positive two weeks ago.
