VIENTIANE, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Due to travel restrictions triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of international tourists in Vangvieng, a tourism town northern to Lao capital Vientiane has dropped sharply. However, domestic travel during weekends is now on the rise, as the COVID-19 pandemic has been effectively brought under control.
