Pic story of pyrographic calabash artist in Xinjiang

Cao Guangyao shows a pyrographic calabash artwork themed with fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic in Horgos, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Feb. 6, 2021. Cao Guangyao is a 45-year-old farmer in Horgos. He is also known by local people as an artist for his pyrographic calabash artwork. As a painting enthusiast, Cao got interested in pyrographic creation 8 years ago from TV shows and started his own creation ever since. In spite of no professional training, Cao made art attempts time and time again with love and passion during the slack season of agricultural production. Now, Cao got skillful in pyrography, and a lot of people came to visit, communicate and order customized artwork.
