Jean-Paul van Gastel takes the helm of the Chinese Super League team Guangzhou City.
GUANGZHOU, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Former Dutch international Jean-Paul van Gastel has been appointed as the head coach of Guangzhou City, the Chinese Super League club announced on Monday.
"Today Mr. Van Gastel officially takes up the post of the head coach of Guangzhou City FC," said the club in a statement.

Van Gastel, 48, joined the Guangzhou City, formerly known as Guangzhou R&F, in 2020 as the assistant of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
