MINSK, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Belarus reported 1,079 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking its total to 295,511, according to the country's health ministry.
A total of 1,448 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 286,484, the ministry added.
So far, 2,038 people have died of the disease in the country, including nine over the past 24 hours, it said.
As of Sunday, 5,007,154 tests for the virus have been conducted across the country, including 17,588 over the past 24 hours, according to official figures. Enditem
