Russia's FSB foils terror attack in North Caucasus

MOSCOW, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said Wednesday it had detained a resident from Central Asia plotting a terrorist attack in the country's Republic of Adygea in the North Caucasus.

According to a statement, the individual was preparing the attack in places of mass gathering.

Homemade explosive devices, a flag of the Islamic State, communications equipment with information about potential terrorist plots, terrorism-related content, and forged migration documents were seized from the detainee's place of residence among other items, the statement read.

A criminal case has been launched against the detainee. Enditem
