SOFIA, April 1 (Xinhua) -- The second and third legs of this year's UIPM Pentathlon World Cup circuit will be held here on April 7-11 and 15-18, Bulgarian Modern Pentathlon Federation President Andrey Kuzmanov said on Thursday.

A record number of 41 countries and regions, including China, will participate in the two competitions, which will give qualifying points for the Tokyo Olympics, Kuzmanov said at a press conference.

Strict anti-epidemic rules will be implemented during the events, he said, adding that competitions will be held without spectators, and everything will be disinfected, even the horses.

More than 100 overseas athletes have already come to Bulgaria to prepare for the competition.
