LA PAZ, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Bolivia international right-back Diego Bejarano scored a second-half winner as Bolivar overcame Junior Barranquilla 2-1 in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores qualifier here on Thursday.

Leonardo Ramos gave the hosts the lead in the fourth minute by pouncing on an errant defensive pass and then rounding goalkeeper Sebastian Viera.

German Mera equalized for the Colombian outfit six minutes later when he volleyed in at the far post after a John Pajoy corner.

Bejarano broke the deadlock with a first-time strike from close range after Leonardo Ramos' flicked header.

The result means the Bolivian side need only a draw in next week's return leg in the Atlantic port city of Barranquilla to advance to the main draw of South America's premier club competition. Enditem
