First driverless SkyShuttle put into operation in Chongqing, China

Southwest China's Chongqing municipality puts its first driverless SkyShuttle rail transit project into use this Friday, according to Bishan District of Chongqing. With a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan (about 276 million U.S. dollars), the project features electric-powered, unmanned driving, fully automatic trains running on a 15.4-km elevated rail line with 15 stations.
