JAKARTA, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 4,656 within one day to 1,651,794, with the death toll adding by 168 to 44,939, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the ministry, 4,884 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 1,506,599.
The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, West Java recorded 1,164 new cases, Jakarta 393, Riau 383, Central Java 354 and East Java 237.
No new positive cases were found in two provinces, namely Gorontalo and Maluku. Enditem
