YANGON, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 38 new COVID-19 infections and one more death in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Health and Sports on Tuesday.
The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases rose to 142,778 while its death toll reached 3,208 on Tuesday, the release said.
A total of 131,951 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.
During the past day, 2,446 samples were tested for COVID-19.
COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 last year. Enditem
