KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia reported 4,113 new COVID-19 infections and 34 more deaths, the Health Ministry said on Friday, bringing the national total to 462,190 and the death toll to 1,822.

Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement that one of the new cases is imported and 4,112 are local transmissions.

Some 4,190 patients have been released after recovery, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 418,897 or 90.6 percent of all cases.

Of the remaining 41,471 active cases, 482 are being held in intensive care and 250 of those are in need of assisted breathing. Enditem
