NANJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- The eastern Chinese city of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, on Saturday reported two new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and two asymptomatic cases, local health authorities said on Sunday.
By Saturday, the number of locally transmitted confirmed cases in the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Nanjing had risen to 37, with another 20 asymptomatic cases, according to the Nanjing municipal health commission.
Nanjing launched its second citywide nucleic acid testing campaign at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Nanjing, with a population of more than 9.3 million, started its first mass nucleic acid testing campaign at 8 p.m. Wednesday after 17 airport workers tested positive for COVID-19. It had tested nearly 9.21 million samples by 8 p.m. Saturday. Enditem
