Greek rower Ntouskos wins men's single sculls at Tokyo Olympics

TOKYO, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Stefanos Ntouskos of Greece enjoyed a safe lead in the men's single sculls before claiming his first Olympic gold here on Friday.

Ntouskos, who finished sixth in the men's lightweight four five years ago at Rio 2016, crossed the line first in an Olympic best time of six minutes and 40.45 seconds.

Norway's two-time world champion Kjetil Borch finished 1.21 seconds behind Ntouskos for the silver, and Croatia's two-time Olympic silver medalist Damir Martin won the bronze in 6:42.58. Enditem
