BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Thursday met with Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade, and Tourism Reyes Maroto in Beijing.

Yang, also director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, said the two countries should strengthen exchanges at all levels and fields, and dovetail the Belt and Road Initiative with Spain's development strategies.

The two sides should also deepen cooperation in infrastructure, trade, investment, tourism and other fields, he said.

Maroto said that Spain highly appreciates China's commitment to further opening-up and looks forward to participating in the first China International Import Expo to explore the potential of cooperation between the two countries.
