Childbirth guru Christine Hills said she was confident Wills will “do the right stuff on the day”.
Kate, 31, who had been due to give birth to the couple’s first child last weekend, has twice visited Christine’s practice for a private pre-birth class, with William joining her for one of the sessions.
Christine, 65 — whose celeb clients have included movie stars Kate Winslet and Helena Bonham Carter — described the Duchess of Cambridge as “a delightful girl”. She added: “What you see is what you get.”
The birthing expert, of Chiswick, West London, advises pregnant women to “eat what you want and don’t bother with too much exercise”. She said: “I like to see women lying about in pregnancy — they shouldn’t be jogging.”
William, 31, was thought last night to be at Kensington Palace with Kate. They are just over a mile from St Mary’s Hospital where Kate plans to give birth.
William is now on annual leave and is not expected to return to his duties at RAF Valley in North Wales until after the birth and two weeks paternity leave.
It means he will be at Kate’s side when she goes into labour and will almost certainly drive her to hospital.
The couple missed the wedding of close pals Alicia Fox-Pitt and Sebastian Stoddart in Canterbury, Kent, yesterday.
