6.0-magnitude quake hits Balleny Islands region -- USGS

HONG KONG, July 23 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted Balleny Islands region at 10:33:24 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 61.2936 degrees south latitude and 154.063 degrees east longitude.
