BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Arsenal Sarandi moved to within three points of leaders Argentinos Juniors with a 2-1 home victory over Colon in the Argentinian Superliga on Friday.
Arsenal took the lead in the 55th minute when Juan Kaprof's shot deflected in off Guillermo Ortiz, who was credited with an own goal.
Wilson Morelo equalized on the hour mark by heading in from close range after Braian Galvan's shot was parried clear by Daniel Sappa.
But Emiliano Mendez restored the lead for the hosts, sending a bullet header past Colon goalkeeper Leonardo Burian after a Nicolas Gimenez corner.
Arsenal, who have won three and drawn one of their past four outings, rose to sixth in the standings with 27 points from 16 matches as the competition enters its summer recess.
