MEXICO CITY, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Mexico's Puebla have sacked Peruvian head coach Juan Reynoso following the club's quarterfinal exit from the Liga MX Apertura tournament.

"Juan Reynoso is no longer the technical director. We thank him and his coaching staff for their commitment and hard work," read a club statement on Saturday.

The announcement came a week after Leon beat Puebla 2-0 in the second leg of the Apertura quarterfinals to complete a 3-2 victory on aggregate.

Reynoso, 50, guided Puebla to 14 wins, eight draws and 19 losses after joining the club in August 2019.

"We will announce a new head coach in the coming days," the statement added. Enditem
