PARIS, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- French ski jumpers Vincent Descombes Sevoie and Jonathan Learoyd will not compete in the last two stops of Four Hills Tournament in Austria, International Ski Federation (FIS) announced on Tuesday.

After the first two competitions in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen of Germany, the French team decided to end their Four Hills Tournament this season.

"Vincent is out of shape, we will train with him on the upcoming days. Jonathan is tired after the exhausting competitions in the last couple of weeks. His focus will now be on the Junior World Championships in Kandersteg, Switzerland from January 27 to February 4", French team assistant coach Robert Treitinger was quoted by the FIS website.

Sevoie finished just 45th and 44th in the first two competitions and failed to qualify for the final rounds in both events. His best result of the season so far was the 27th place in Nizhny Tagil, Russia.

Learoyd, 17, scored first World Cup points of his career as he finished 29th in Oberstdorf.

The Four Hills Tournament is a ski jumping event composed of four World Cup events and has taken place in Germany and Austria each year since 1952. The champion is the ski jumper who gets most points over the four events.

The next two events will be held in Austria's Innsbruck and Bischofshofen later this week.
