CHENGDU, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Sichuan women's volleyball team collected first win in second stage of the China Women's Volleyball Super League by beating Hebei 21-25, 25-21, 25-13 and 25-15 on Saturday.

In the first set, Hebei's strong service disrupted Sichuan's rhythm, interfering the first pass of the home team. However, Sichuan's ace spiker Su Weiping and blocker Zhang Xiaoya did find their way and help the team take the control.

Zhang Xiaoya and Su Weiping had 19 and 17 points respectively for Sichuan while Hebei's veteran Zhao Jiayu scored 14.

"Our defense was not as good as Sichuan's, especially the block. But our young players were honed." said Zhang Zhongwei, head coach of Hebei.

According to Sichuan's coach Ye Wen, the whole team withstood the pressure when they lost the first set and then adjusted the strategy quickly.
