BEIRUT, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. telecom giant Apple announced Monday an agreement with the "Malala Fund" to support girls' education in Lebanon.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai visited Syrian and Lebanese school students in Beirut with officials from the American giant tech company as they announced an agreement to boost support for girls education, according to a statement released Monday by Apple.

"We would like to share with you the news about Apple's recent collaboration with the Malala Fund to support girls' education," the statement said.

The "Malala Fund' works to grant every girl 12 years of free, safe, quality education.

"My dream is for every girl to choose her own future," said Yousafzai, the fund's founder.
